The incumbent will be driving sales at our Chartwell Stonehaven Retirement Residence in Kanata, ON.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities include the following, plus others as assigned:

Under the direction of the Food & Beverage Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for washing dishes, cutlery, and pots in an efficient and safe manner, as well as assisting the cooks to prepare resident meals. In addition, the successful applicant will ensure the kitchen cleanliness is at a high standard.
The ideal candidate will be personable with an excellent work ethic, will be able to follow department regulations and standards as well as lift dish bins of over 40 lbs. Experience with seniors is an asset. Availability to work days, evenings, nights and weekends will be required.

The incumbent will have a minimum of 1-3 years of experience with activity planning, preferably in a long term care residence and excellent computer skills. A Degree or Diploma in Therapeutic Recreation/Activation/Leisure studies, Kinesiology or a related field is required along with current first aid and CPR certification. A Smart Serve or Food Handler certificates as well as Montessori Methods for Dementia are considered an asset. Availability to work days, evenings and weekends is also required.
