Full-Time Director of Care in Scarborough

Job Description
This role is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, motivated Registered Nurse (RN) with five (5) – seven (7) years of nursing experience and at least three (3) years of management experience in the long-term care industry. The incumbent must have a valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Post graduate studies in nursing, nursing administration and geriatrics are an asset; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred Sound knowledge of relevant long-term care legislation is essential.
Drawing on their extraordinary leadership and communication skills, the successful candidate’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- All aspects of resident care including, but not limited to: fall prevention program, palliative care, pain control, behaviour management and care planning;
- The development of goals and objectives for the nursing department;
- Setting standards of resident care and services to ensure they meet MOHLTC requirements;
- Performance appraisals, attendance management, policy and procedure implementation and Nursing and PSW routines.
Successful candidate must provide a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector search.
