Part-Time Home Support Worker in Red Lake
Job Description
Reporting to the Client Service Supervisor, the Home Support Worker provides homemaking, cleaning, tidying, laundry and related services in the home.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide service as determined by the supervisor
- To provide routine housekeeping such as vacuuming, sweeping, dry / wet mopping, bed making, bed linen changing, which are required to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- To wash, dry and fold laundry
- To respect the clients rights, person and property
- To treat all client related information as confidential
- To communicate any observable changes in the client or the client’s circumstances to the supervisor
- To document care/service on the appropriate Revera forms
- To promote client safety and immediately report safety concerns and/or emergency situations by phone to the designated supervisor
- To maintain an accurate time and mileage report, where indicated
- To maintain compliance with RHH standards for high quality provision of care
- Maintain current certification for Basic Cardiac Life Support
- To attend RHH in-services for training and informational purposes
- To uphold and promote the organization’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, morality, and integrity as set out in Revera’s Code of Conduct
- To complete all other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Completion of a high school diploma is preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions consistent with job requirements
- Knowledge and experience with cleaning, housekeeping, laundry and other related tasks
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Dependable with good judgment skills
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
- Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).
