Job Description
Retirement Homes within the Kingston areaare seeking Part-time/Full-time Housekeeper and cleaning staff to oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operation requirements of residents in their Retirement Home in order to ensure the highest quality service is provided to all residents.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides residents with excellent customer service skills.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Candidate must comply with all provincial/municipal health and safety legislations, regulations.
- Cleaning resident apartments as requested and assist with common area housekeeping.
- Clean all bathrooms including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories and fixtures in apartment and common areas, vacuum carpeted areas and mop tile floors. Spot clean walls and windows. Dust furniture and empty trashcans. Clean baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents.
Basic Requirements:
- Proficiency in a second language is considered an asset.
- Must be punctual, reliable and have a flexible work schedule.
- Must be quick, self organized, have a good professional attitude towards residents and staff.
- General knowledge of housekeeping and working with seniors would be considered an asset.
- Ability to use and operate all required equipment.
- Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, and must be able to motivate staff.
